Reverse osmosis and water treatment manufacturer for Ras Al Khaimah
Ras Al Khaimah combines heavy industry, farming and a long coastline, and each needs a different kind of water treatment. AFG manufactures the filtration, RO, well water and wastewater systems for all three, with quotes and project contact through AFG Dubai.
Water in Ras Al Khaimah: what the plant has to deal with
Between the mountains and the sea, sites in Ras Al Khaimah draw on wells, the network and the coast. Well water in the north of the UAE is often brackish and hard, and iron or manganese can appear depending on the aquifer. Coastal sites deal with seawater or with wells influenced by it.
Industry adds its own challenge. Ceramics and cement plants handle a lot of fine solids, and the water they use for preparation, cooling, cleaning and dust control picks those solids up. Treating it so it can be used again saves fresh water and reduces what leaves the site.
Farms need water that their crops can take: lower salinity, controlled boron and stable quality through the season.
Where AFG systems fit in Ras Al Khaimah
Ceramics
Process water for body and glaze preparation, and recovery of washing water loaded with fine solids.
Cement and building materials
Cooling and process water, protection of equipment from scale, and filtration of recirculated water.
Farms and greenhouses
Brackish well RO with boron control for irrigation and greenhouse crops.
Coastal sites
Seawater and beach-well RO for resorts and facilities along the coast.
Systems we build for Ras Al Khaimah
Project steps
Sampling
Wells and process streams are sampled, because solids, iron and salinity decide the design.
Design and manufacture
AFG engineers the plant and builds it at its factory in Antalya, Türkiye.
Delivery and start-up
The plant is shipped to the UAE, installed and commissioned, and operators are trained.
Support
AFG Dubai handles service, filter media, membranes and spare parts.

Questions buyers ask
Can process water from a ceramics plant be reused?
Usually a large part of it can. Water from washing and preparation carries fine clay and glaze solids, which can be settled, clarified and filtered so the water returns to the process. The design depends on the solids load and what the reuse point tolerates.
How do you deal with dust and fine solids in cement plant water?
Recirculated water picks up fine solids that wear pumps and block nozzles. Automatic backwash filters and multimedia filtration remove them continuously, and softening or RO protects heat exchangers from scale where needed.
Our farm well water is brackish. What are the options?
Brackish RO lowers salinity for irrigation, and the permeate can be blended with raw water to reach the target. If boron is high, a dedicated stage is added. The choice is made from a full well water analysis and the crop.
What if the well water has iron?
Iron and manganese cause staining, sediment and membrane fouling. An oxidation and filtration stage removes them before any RO or irrigation equipment. The method is selected from the iron, manganese and pH values.
Who do I contact for a Ras Al Khaimah project?
