Water treatment and RO manufacturer for Umm Al Quwain

Umm Al Quwain lives with the sea: fishing, aquaculture, coastal farms and small industry. AFG manufactures the filtration, disinfection, RO and wastewater systems these sites rely on, and AFG Dubai handles quotes and project contact.

Water in Umm Al Quwain: what the plant has to deal with

Coastal lagoons, mangroves and shallow water make this a natural place for fishing and aquaculture, and the same setting defines the water problems. Seawater intakes pick up sand, silt and organic matter, and in warm months the biological load rises. For fish, clean water is not only about solids: bacteria and parasites spread fast through tanks and recirculating loops.

Inland, farms draw on wells whose water can be brackish and hard. Small workshops and processing units along the coast need clean process water and have to deal with what they discharge.

Many of these sites are small, so the treatment has to be straightforward to run and easy to service.

Effluent is a concern close to a lagoon too. Water leaving fish tanks carries feed residues and solids; treating it protects the surrounding water and lets part of it return to the farm.

How a project here works

Share the water source, the flows and what the water is for. For fish farms, the species, life stage and whether the system recirculates matter as much as the analysis. AFG designs and builds the equipment in Antalya, ships it to the UAE, commissions it and trains your staff. AFG Dubai coordinates UV lamps, filter media, membranes and spares afterwards.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

What water treatment does a fish hatchery need?

Hatcheries need very clean, stable water: filtration to remove solids, ultrafiltration or fine filtration for bacteria, and UV or ozone disinfection. Where the source salinity does not suit the life stage, RO make-up water is blended in. Our fish farming page explains the options in more detail.

Is UV safe to use on fish tank water?

Yes. UV-C disinfects the water as it passes through the reactor and leaves no residue, so nothing harmful reaches the fish. It works best on clear water, which is why filtration sits ahead of it.

Can brackish well water be used on a coastal farm?

With treatment, often yes. Brackish RO lowers salinity for irrigation or livestock, and blending with raw water can keep useful minerals. The design follows the well analysis and the crop or animals.

Do small workshops need effluent treatment?

If their wastewater carries oils, solids or chemicals, yes. Compact physical, chemical or biological treatment can be sized to small flows so the discharge meets the required quality.

How do I start a project in Umm Al Quwain?

Send the details through the quote form. AFG Dubai handles quotes and project enquiries for Umm Al Quwain and will reply with what is needed next, usually a water analysis and the flow data.
