Seawater RO and water treatment manufacturer for Fujairah
Fujairah faces the Gulf of Oman, and for many sites on this coast seawater is the practical source. AFG manufactures complete seawater RO plants with the intake filtration, post-treatment and storage around them, supplied through AFG Dubai.

Water in Fujairah: an open-sea coast
The east coast is different from the Gulf side of the UAE. Seawater here comes from the Gulf of Oman, and conditions at the intake change with the season, the weather and the activity around ports and anchorages. A plant that runs well in calm months still has to handle rough-sea turbidity and debris.
That is why pre-treatment carries so much weight on this coast. Screening and self-cleaning filters take out coarse material, ultrafiltration or sand filtration deal with fine solids and organics, and cartridge filters protect the membranes at the end. Materials in contact with seawater are chosen to resist corrosion.
Product water then needs post-treatment: RO permeate is low in minerals, so it is remineralised and disinfected before it goes into storage and supply.
Where AFG systems fit in Fujairah
Port and marine
Fresh water for port operations, workshops and facilities from seawater RO.
Coastal hotels
Resort SWRO plants with remineralisation and storage.
Industry near the coast
Process and cooling water for plants that draw on seawater.
Remote coastal sites
Self-contained supply where the network does not reach.
How a Fujairah project works
We start from the seawater analysis and the intake concept, then size the plant for your demand and any planned expansion. AFG builds the SWRO plant at its Antalya factory and ships it to the UAE for installation and commissioning, and AFG Dubai looks after membranes, cartridges, pumps and service afterwards. For remote stretches of the coast, the plant can be delivered skid-mounted to keep the work on site simple.

Questions buyers ask
Why does an SWRO plant in Fujairah need so much pre-treatment?
Open-sea intakes see changing turbidity, organics and debris, especially in rough weather. Without strong pre-treatment the membranes foul quickly and output drops. Self-cleaning filters, sand or ultrafiltration and cartridge filters keep the feed stable for the high-pressure stage.
Can seawater RO supply a port or marine facility?
Yes. An SWRO plant can supply fresh water for offices, workshops, washing and other port uses, with storage tanks sized for peak demand. The design depends on the daily volume and the quality each use needs.
Which materials resist seawater corrosion?
Parts in contact with seawater and concentrate are built from corrosion-resistant materials such as FRP vessels, suitable plastics and appropriate stainless grades. The selection is made for each line based on pressure and contact time.
Is SWRO water ready for drinking?
After remineralisation and disinfection it can be brought to drinking-water quality. Permeate straight from the membranes is very low in minerals and is not supplied without that post-treatment.
Who handles Fujairah enquiries?
AFG Dubai handles quotes and project enquiries for Fujairah. Send the seawater source, the capacity and the end use through the quote form.
Can an SWRO plant in Fujairah be expanded later?
Yes, if it is planned for. Space for extra pressure vessels, a larger intake and headroom in the pre-treatment can be designed in from the start, so capacity grows in steps as a hotel, port facility or development expands. Tell us the expected future demand at the quote stage.
Ready to talk about your water?
Capacity and source water are enough to start. A full analysis lets our engineers choose the right membranes and pre-treatment.
